In the first capture episode the main theme is power. Platon and Dylan Mcdermott join he host Mark Seliger. Platon has photographed some of the most important people in the world including Obama and Bill clinton, his portrait work has a unique style and personally I really like it. I like how he plays with this idea of power. I also like what he said about photography and how this provides power, "at the end of the day photography is not about photographing some who is powerful it's about being empowered with the tools to record something poignant and that means something"

Dylan's work is very different from Platon's work. In his work Dylan says that he searches for people that feel like him, people that he feels resembles them. I really like what he said about how when you take a photo you are marking a picture of what you think it is, but somebody else can look at it and gain something completely different. Dylan Mcdermott and Platon both capture life but the way they capture it is very individual to each of them.

In the second episode of capture Lauren Bush and Albert Watson join Mark Seligor this time. Lauren's work remind me a lot of Dylan's she travels a lot so a lot of her work it captured right in the moment and unprepared. Personally I really love her style, I love the heart that she manages to capture in her work.

Lauren's work is extremely different to what Albert does his work is a lot more structured then Lauren's. His work is more aimed at the commercial market, where companies and agencies are using and commissioning him to do project. Albert talks about the difference in work and says that though his work is a lot more sophisticated but as you become more sophisticated you loose some innocence and spontaneity in there work.
