Shelly Davies is an artist from canada who creates paintings, collages and photographs. In most of her peices she uses a mixture of scissors, glue and paint to create the stunning final peices. Focusing on the natural world she uses flowers and leaves to help inspire her work.
Personally I really llke her work it reminds me of some of Cath Kidston's materials and patterns, but Davies work is much less manufactured and has more of a rustic feel to it. I like her use of pastle colours as it adds a mutted and light feel to her work, which creates much more relaxing and calming peices.
I feel her work is greatly different from Jenny Romes work as Davies I feel has much more soul and personality, her work itn't manufactured it'd very natural and this gives it a unique aspect.
