Outside the box
Sophie Bishop
I grow up on the outskirts of Bristol, with my family. Bristol is place very close to my heart, I love the busyness and the constant chaning of things. It is a place full of creativity and a buzz for life. But i always wanted something a little grittyer a little more raw.
Which is why when i went to Uganda at aged 12 I quicly fell in love with it. It was a place that was full of what life really is ment to be about. It stips away everything that wasnt essential and stays true to the pure reality of life.
When i was 16 I moved out of my family home and moved to Minehead, to complete an apprentiship in hopsitality and catering. After one year i had finished and found myslef craving something more creative.
This is when i stared my course in Graphic/Media/Photography. Photography is something i have always loved and passion i pursew in my spare time. I find it helps me strip back to that pure reality in a way Uganda did.
In the future I want to do a photography course at Falmouth Uni and then go back to Uganda to try to capture the moments that i feel are life at its purest.
