Martha Cooper is a american photojournalist, working mainly in the streets of New York City documenting the graffiti and street life in the 70's-80's.
Her work shows the raw reality of NYC and the everyday people that live there. Her images are eye catching and thought provoking. Personaly I like her work I like how has capture children in the back allies and rough street when they are enjoying life. I also like who she has incorpirated graffiti into her work using as almost a canvas or a backdrop to the place another image infront, this can be seen in the image of the cops or in many of her images with the trains.
