I recently came across this illustrator called Idaia Candelas who is based in Mexico city. She started illustratinbg two yers ago and this is her latest project, "postmodern loeliness". In these images she depicts the beauty of living alone. In an interview she said thats she wanted to show that "living alone is not bad; it can be enjoyable".

Personaly I really like these images i feel they show the reality of living alone and they small joys that you can find peace in, weither that be a cup of coffee alone in the kitchen early in the morning or just relaxing in bed. I like the use of black and white i feel this alomst leaves the audience to fill it in create a unique peice to them that they can more easly see as themselves in there own home, where as if it was coloured you might not be able to connect with it on such a personal level because in a way the image has already been conpleted in your imagination.
