Nash Gill is an american artists who works closly with wood. He does prints and sculptures with the wood he finds. In this exhabition he looked at the rings within the a tree trunk. He focused on the unique characteristics of the tree imprints looking at the rings almost like a human finger print, they tell us how old the tree is what bad winters it has had and what beautiful summers it has witnessed.

Personaly I love his work. I like how he has captured nature in a modern why that even for people that wouldn't normal look at nature they can still connect this these peices. I like that he has used a variety of diffent types of wood to really add to the collection so you can see the contract between the diffent woods. I like the suttle use of colour I think it helps the wood pop and adds another moden twist to the image.
